Kano Govt. Approves N1.17bn For 250 Post Graduate Students

The Commissioner for Information, Dr Damburan Nuhu, made this known when he briefed newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Kano.

Damburan said the council had approved over N49.5 million for the establishment of mini-grains factories across the state.

According to him, about N13 million has been approved for the empowerment of football clubs across the 44 local governments in the state.

He said the state government would rehabilitate Dorawa Road in Kano Metropolis at a cost of N41million.

The commissioner said the state government had concluded plans to lay 1000mm ductile iron pipe from Tamburawa to Hadeja Road at a cost of N211million.

He stressed the state government’s determination to develop infrastructure in the state as part of the initiatives to improve the welfare of the people. (NAN)
