Angelina Jolie has signed up to direct and produce a forthcoming movie titled “Africa”.
“Africa” is based on the battle that Politician Richard Leakey went through to save the elephants and rhinos from the ivory poachers in the 1980s and 1990s. Known for his extreme measures to tackle poachers, Richard helped saved Kenya's elephant and rhino populations recover from the brink of disaster.
Angelina Jolie who has expressed that she has “a deep connection to Africa and its culture for much of my life” has said that "Africa" is about "a man drawn into the violent conflict with elephant poachers, who emerged with a deeper understanding of man's footprint and a profound sense of responsibility for the world around him".
